Privacy Policy

Fambo ("we", "us") is a family organization app. We take your family's privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Account information — Phone number or Apple ID used to sign in. We don't require your name or email to create an account.
• Family data — Events, lists, chores, recipes, and meal plans you create. This is stored in Firebase Firestore and synced across your family's devices.
• Forwarded emails — When you forward an email to your family's Fambo address, we process it to extract event information. Email content is deleted within 48 hours after extraction.
• Photos for OCR — Photos you capture for event extraction are processed on-device and on our servers. They are not stored after processing.
• Usage analytics — We use Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used (e.g., which tabs are popular, how often AI extraction is used). This data is anonymized and aggregated.
• Push notification tokens — We store FCM tokens to deliver notifications about your family's calendar and tasks.

What we don't collect

• We don't sell or share your data with advertisers
• We don't collect data from children under 13 without parental consent (COPPA compliant)
• We don't use advertising identifiers
• We don't track your location

Kids and COPPA

Children can use Fambo through anonymous accounts created by their parents. We don't collect personal information from kids. Kid accounts don't have access to email forwarding or AI import features.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (Firestore, Firebase Auth) with encryption at rest and in transit. Family data is isolated — only members of your family can access your family's data.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store via RevenueCat. We don't store payment information. Apple handles all billing.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. This permanently removes your member profile and personal data. If you're the last member of a family, all family data is also deleted.

Changes

We'll update this policy as needed and notify you of material changes through the app.
