How do I create a family?

When you first open Fambo, you'll be guided through creating your family. Give it a name, add family members, and you're ready to go. The whole process takes about 30 seconds.

How do family members join?

Family members can join by scanning a QR code from your Settings tab, or by entering a 6-digit family code. Kids can join without needing an email address.

What devices does Fambo support?

Fambo is available for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later. An Android version is coming soon.

How does the AI import work?

You can import events three ways:

• Forward an email to your family's Fambo address
• Share a link or photo using the iOS share sheet
• Paste text directly in the app

Fambo's AI reads the content, extracts dates, times, and locations, and creates calendar events for you to review.

How many AI imports do I get?

The free plan includes 3 AI imports per week. Family Pro gives you unlimited imports with priority processing. Each import can extract multiple events from a single email or document.

What can I import?

School newsletters, sports schedules, party invitations, activity registrations, doctor appointment confirmations, ICS calendar files, event flyers and posters — anything with dates and times.

Can I sync my existing calendars?

Yes. Fambo can connect to your device's calendars (iCloud, Google, Outlook, etc.) so you see everything in one unified view alongside your family events.

How do shared lists work?

Any family member can create a list and share it with the family. Items sync in real time — when someone checks off "milk" at the store, everyone sees it instantly.

How do chores and rewards work?

Parents assign chores with optional due dates and recurrence. When kids complete a chore and it's verified, they earn XP and build streaks. XP accumulates toward achievements and rewards that you define.

What is the Kid Dashboard?

The Kid Dashboard is a simplified, gamified view designed for children. They see their tasks, track their XP and streaks, and view the family calendar — all in an age-appropriate interface. Kid accounts don't require an email address to set up.

What's included in Family Pro?

Family Pro unlocks unlimited AI imports, priority processing for faster event extraction, and premium features. One subscription covers your entire family — no per-member fees.

How much does Family Pro cost?

Family Pro is $3.99/month or $29.99/year (save 37%). Both plans include a 7-day free trial. You can start the trial from Settings or when prompted after using your free imports.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Fambo. You can change your plan or cancel anytime — you'll keep access until the end of your billing period.

Can I restore a previous purchase?

Yes. Open Fambo, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your subscription will be restored automatically if it's linked to your Apple ID.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account and all associated data. If you're the family owner, the entire family will be deleted.

Is my family's data private?

Yes. Your family's data is stored securely and is never shared with third parties or used to train AI models. We only access your data to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Is Fambo safe for kids?

Yes. Kid accounts don't require personal information. Fambo is COPPA-compliant and designed with child safety in mind. Children only see content shared within their family.
